Notice is hereby given that applications for place on the Canton ISD School Board of Trustee Regular Election may be filed during the following times: |
NEW ASSESSMENT PROGRAM FOR TEXAS STUDENTS
The Texas Education Agency (TEA), in collaboration with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and Texas educators, is developing a new assessment system. This new system will focus on increasing postsecondary readiness of graduating high school students and helping to ensure that Texas students are competitive with other students both nationally and internationally. |
LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE DEVELOPS MISSION STATEMENT
The Leadership Committee developed a new district mission statement and it was approved by the Board of Trustees. |

The Texas Education Agency has released the 2010-11 list of accountability ratings for Texas Schools. Canton ISD achieved "Exemplary" status based on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills. |
