Special Programs > Gifted and Talented Education Program

Gifted and Talented (G/T) students are academically gifted students who consistently excel or show the potential to excel in critical and productive thinking. Their superior intellectual abilities allow them to achieve excellence in specific subject areas at a significantly higher level and faster pace than that of their peers. The Canton ISD Gifted and Talented program utilizes a differentiated curriculum that challenges critical thinking and problem-solving, encourages independent thinking, nurtures creativity and divergent thinking, and fosters social responsibility in order to develop students’ potential for the benefit of themselves and their society. Questions may be directed to the counselor at each campus or to the Assistant Superintendent at 903-567-4179.
