34 C.F.R. Part 106.8 of the 2020 Title IX Regulations requires educational institutions to designate a Title IX Coordinator, publish a nondiscrimination policy that prohibits sex discrimination, implement grievance procedures for prompt and equitable complaint resolution of student and employee complaints
Title IX NonDiscrimination Policy
FFH(LOCAL)
The District prohibits discrimination, including harassment, against any student. Discrimination is defined as treating a student or group of students differently from similarly situated students on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender, national origin, age, disability, or any other basis prohibited by law. One type of harassment this policy prohibits is dating violence, as defined below. Retaliation against anyone exercising their rights under this policy is a violation of District policy and is prohibited.
DIA(LOCAL)
The District prohibits discrimination, including harassment, against any employee on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other basis prohibited by law. Retaliation against anyone involved in the complaint process is a violation of District policy and is prohibited.

Title IX Coordinator
Canton ISD has designated the following employee to be the Title IX Coordinator for the District to address concerns or inquires regarding discrimination based on sex, including sexual harassment, gender-based harassment, or dating violence.

Any individual may report discrimination, including sexual harassment, at any time, including during non-business hours, by mail, phone, or email. During district business hours, reports may also be made in person.
Upon the district receiving notice or an allegation of sex-based harassment, the Title IX Coordinator will promptly respond in accordance with the process described in DIA and FFH (LEGAL, LOCAL, and Regulation).
Inquiries about the application of Title IX may be referred to the district’s Title IX Coordinator, to the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights of the Department of Education, or both.
