Superintendent

The Canton ISD School Board of Trustees hired Dr. Brian Nichols in October 2019 as Superintendent of Canton ISD with his first day starting on December 2, 2019.

 

Dr. Nichols earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Education, and Doctor of Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. He started his career in Oakwood ISD as a teacher/coach in 2001 and accepted a teacher/coach position in Laneville ISD in 2002. Dr. Nichols continued this position until 2005 when he became a campus administrator. In 2012 he accepted the Superintendent position at Lanevill ISD and was there until 2016 when he became the Superintendent of New Summerfield ISD.
