Superintendent's Message
"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." — Chinese proverb
Student of the Week
Congratulations to Conway Hawk, a 4th grade student at Canton Intermediate, for being recognized as this week’s Canton ISD Student of the Week.
Conway is the son of Jordan and Kelly Hawk and has attended Canton ISD since 1st grade. His favorite subjects are Math and Social Studies, and he is involved in GT at school. Outside of school, Conway enjoys baseball and football. In the future, he hopes to become a mechanical engineer.
Something interesting about Conway is that his dream pet is a wallaby. In fact, after doing his research, Conway even put together a proposal for his parents explaining how he would take care of one.
According to Dr. Lloyd:
“Conway exemplifies the Eagle Vision by being a leader on campus in all that he does. He works very hard in the classroom, which is reflected in his high grades, and he is known for being kind and a good friend to others. We are proud to honor Conway as the CIS Student of the Week. He is choosing to soar every day.”
