Student of the Week
Cash McKinley (UIL Class 4A State Film 3rd Place in Narrative)
This week's Canton ISD Student of the Week is senior Cash McKinley, a 12th grader is the son of Matt and Tina McKinley. Cash has been a Canton ISD student since Pre-K.
Cash's favorite subjects are English and Audio/Visual, and he stays busy at school through A/V, Theater, Photography, One Act, and Film Festival. Outside of school, you'll find him watching and making movies.
In his own words: "I am an old soul. I love old music, old movies, and old technology. There's something about all of these things from a time before I was born that kind of shaped all of my interests today."
According to Mrs. Parker:
“Cash truly represents what CHS stands for. He is an outstanding high school student who demonstrates integrity, leadership, and Eagle Pride. We are proud to recognize him as a shining example of what it means to be a CHS Eagle. Cash has a positive, can-do attitude that shows in all he does on our campus. He spends countless hours outside of the school day working on his commitments to theater and his audio/video productions.”
